Summary
In7 Days To Dieplayers will have to gather many resources to build and prepare for the onslaught of zombies thatwill be invading them during the Blood Moons. To get more useful items, materials, and precious ammo, they need to prepare a specialized build to search far and wide for the things they need.
This list contains the best sets to turn players into natural looters. From boosted material drop chances to increased item quality probabilities, these armors provide countless bonuses for every survivor looking for loot and trouble.
1Rogue Set
Loot More, Loot Faster, Never Stop Looting
The Rogue armor set is surprisingly effective for the earlier stages of the game, where players need to gather resources fast and in large quantities.Having even a Tier 1 set of this light armorwill improve the chances of survival considerably, and help survivors find more valuable items they can trade for Dukes, and then convert to ammo and medicine in the trader stations.
Having improved noise reduction and crouch speed will allow players to stay undetected, even in the most dangerous zones. As long as they avoid triggering sleepers, and invest in the Agility attribute perk tree, they will be able to loot and get out without alerting the strongest zombies. Watch out for Wights and Spider Zombies though, as these are particularly sensitive to noise, and can alert the whole horde with their screams.
2Lumberjack Set
Get More Wood, Carry More Stuff
The Lumberjack armor set was specifically designed to gather more wood faster and with more stamina efficiency. When chainsaws are not an option, relying on the axes can tire survivors in only a few chops, but with this set, that problem disappears. In the early stages of the game wood is necessary, and when entering the mid and late stages, that necessity multiplies by the thousands.
So having a set that increases the quantity of wood gathered and scavenged from pallets is critical to every base builder that needs to prepare for the blood moon. Since this armor is light, and offers run stamina reduction and extra backpack slots, it is also useful to carry loot between outposts or move to a better base if the zombies (or enemy players) swarm one’s base.
3Scavenger Set
Get That Wrench, Disassemble The World
The Scavenger armor set allows survivors to efficientlyrecover resources and parts from basically everythingthat is not placed in an enemy (or ally) player base, or a trader. That means the world is waiting for players to turn it into spare parts, as long as they do not hit the walls with a wrench, of course. The extra salvage boost, combined with the XP boost received by salvaging will make players bank in huge amounts of experience by turning their wrenches (or Impact Drivers) around.
Combined with the Salvage Operations Perk from the Perception attribute tree, this could make players level up faster than killing hundreds of zombies. The hard part is to get good tools with enhanced durability, or the appropriate mods to make up for the low Tier tools they can craft in the early stages of the game.
4Miner Set
Hit The Motherlode, Get Those Diamonds
With the Miner Set, players can drink their coffee and start hitting with their pick without a concern for stamina loss, while they also dig faster and further into the veins of the world. Getting more minerals to smelt and process means more bullets and fuel, especially when in late stagesplayers will need them by the thousands.
Thanks to its increased backpack size, the Miner Set is a consistent way to farm lots of materials and get them to safety in one go. With its fall damage reduction, players don’t need to be concerned about shafts collapsing below them, and that means their legs will be safe from that murderous critical wound that can turn them into zombie fodder. With the tool degradation decrease, they can also save lots of Tool Repair Kits, which is quite annoying to be carrying around all the time.
Travel Further, Seek Better Looting Sources
When exploring the vast Navezgane, the Nomad Set will help players reach further distances and come back with their pockets filled to the brim. With a considerable boost to survivability and food/water consumption rates, this armor will eliminatethe need to constantly forage for food, which is one of the top causes of players needing to stop gathering loot and going back to camp.
Having more pockets in the backpack pairs nicely with the Pack Mule perk, and if fans add the Extra Pockets Mod for each piece of armor, then no loot can resist the player’s hoarding desires. Arguably the best set for later stages of the game, when players need to move further away from the low-level spawning zones into the most densely populated (by zombies) and dangerous cities. This is also a great set to combine with weather resistance mods, to loot the Desert and Snow zones, which can be tricky to access due to their debuffs.
