Solène & Dylan’s Relationship Explained

They’re Telling Different Stories

Dating as a yacht crew member comes with unique challenges, and being onBelow Deckdefinitely doesn’t make it any easier.Crew members are on the boat for weeks at a time, making it difficult to meet people and spend time with them. Because of this, the staff members often date each other, such as whenBarbie Pascual and Kyle Stille tried a relationship. The two eventually broke up.

Sometimes, yachties are able to find love outside their own ship.Fraser Olendar has a boyfriendhe met separately fromBelow Deck, and Solène and Dylan did the same. InBelow Deckseason 12, episode 3,Solène told Kyle she was still getting over a breakup. Solène claimed she and Dylan had been in love and that she had been open about her feelings for the deckhand.

Solène says she and Dylan broke up because they lived in different countries.

Solène & Dylan Feuded In Instagram Comments

Who’s Telling The Truth?

Dylan, however, claims Solène’s version of events isn’t accurate. In fact, he felt so strongly that Solène lied on TV that he took to the Instagram comments of aBelow Deckpost to set the record straight. From Dylan’s perspective, his relationship with Solène ended because she hooked up with other peopleon Love Island France. In his comment, he claimed to be at peace with the situation:

“I’m not angry, but you may’t say you didn’t cheat on me. It’s in the past and now it’s caught up to you. But don’t be untruthful.”

Here’s where things get tricky. Dylan claims Solène cheated on him while filmingLove Island France, but Solène claims she never cheated. Were Dylan and Solène together when she went off to film the dating show? It seems unlikely that she would be cast on and participate in a reality dating show if she was in love with her boyfriend, but it also wouldn’t be the first time adating show contestant was already in a relationship.

Dylan’s Instagram comments also beg the question: is he really at peace with his breakup with Solène? Instead of confronting her directly via text message or DM, he publicly aired her baggage. Solène fought back, but unfortunately,we don’t currently know who’s telling the truth.

Is Solène Using Below Deck For Clout?

She’s A Reality TV Veteran

Solènehas been accused of going onBelow Deckfor fame, and her public spat with Dylan isn’t helping her image.Solène only had 22 days of yacht experiencebefore filming the Bravo reality show, andshe’s shown little interest in learning the ropesfrom her more seasoned coworkers. Fraser has made a point that he wants to give the brunette a chance, but Solène may not make it through the season.

Solène’s history on reality TV is partially to blame for the clout-chasing allegations. In addition to appearing onLove Island Franceseason 2, Solène was onThe Villaseason 9,The Brainseason 1, andUn Dîner Presque Parfait.Clearly, Solène is no stranger to television and thrives in the spotlight. WhileBelow Deckis a TV show with interesting cast members, they also need to be good at their jobs. Solène’s lack of experience and unwillingness to learn show she may not be onBelow Deckfor the right reasons.
