How to Start The Sons of Ragnar?
In conversation with Randvi in the Longhouse, players can ask to see the Alliance Map and select Ledecestrescire. After a short conversation, players are sent northwest to the city of Repton. This location is the same as the viewpoint in the far northwest section of this region inthe expansive map ofAssassin’s Creed Valhalla. Players need only enter the partially-destroyed church at the southern entrance to the city to begin this mission.
The following cutscene introduces one of the two sons ofViking legend Ragnar Lothbrok, Ivarr. He eventually leads players to the main camp of this Viking outfit, where his brother Ubba and Sigurd are waiting. Next, players have to advance to the northern portion of the city and open up conversation with Ubba to advance the quest. This will prompt a section where the player must follow the group, and this can be made easier with the game’s mechanic that allows for a horse to automatically follow the road (holding X on an Xbox controller) and automatically head to an objective (pressing Y on an Xbox controller).
How to Conquer Tamworth Fortress in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?
The group arrives atTamworth in this region of Englandand gets to know the defenders of this city through a cutscene. From here, players need to head into the siege camp to the east and speak with the captain to begin the assault on Tamworth. The overall goal here is to break through each of the three lines of defense with the Viking ram. First is the outer gate, and each defensive structure allows players to either participate in the ramming or protect the allies on the ram.
In order to join the ram, players need only approach the ram and hit the prompted button. The key to destroying these fortifications is to bring the ram far enough back where the charge prompt begins to glow and then hit the correct button to charge. Each one will require at least a few charges before they break down.
With the final wall destroyed, players need to work their way up to the top of this fortress and take on the two elites of King Burgred. These are agile fighters that rely on dodges and daggers. A good approach is to allowthis game’s version of the Ragnarssonsand Sigurd to distract at least one of the pair and parry the attacks of the other.
With these soldiers defeated, players have to enter King Burgred’s keep, watch the cutscene, and investigate this area for clues with Odin’s Sight. Report back to Ivarr (who is in the keep) when this evidence (which is in the eastern room) has been read.
