After linking their Twitch and EA accounts, players will be able to load upApex Legendsand see their items, which include 5 standard Apex Packs and an exclusive Legendary Omega Point Pathfinder skin. TheApex LegendsTwitch Prime pack is similar in size and style to previous packs offered for bothFortnite’s battle royaleandPlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
ForApex Legendsplayers that play across multiple platforms, be careful. Only the first platform in which you log intoApex Legendsafter claiming the loot bundle will have the content available. Maybe Respawn will implement cross-platform accounts and merging eventually, but not yet.
Today’s Twitch PrimeApex Legendsloot bundle isn’t solely celebrating the battle royale’s success on the platform, however. Today is also the date of Twitch’s second Twitch Rivals tournament. Eight teams of three players will queue for online matches for four hours straight, accruing points for each kill and victory. The winner is the team that’s amassed the most points by the end of four hours, earning a healthy portion of the $100,000 prize pool for the North American tournament.
This is the secondApex LegendsTwitch tournament and the third highly publicized event. The first tournament was won byApex Legends' up and coming pro Dizzy, along with fellow NRG team member King Richard, andNinja. Unfortunately, it seems like Twitch Rivals is trying to inject some new blood in theApex Legendstournament scene by picking mostly new faces.
Instead, a lot of non-battle royale streamers will be joining in the fun. For example,League of Legendsretired player Imaqtpie and YouTuber Jacksepticeye will both have teams. We’ll know how seriously they playApex Legendsby whether they’re wearing the new Pathfinder skin.
Apex Legendsis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
