After much speculation and rumors,Persona 4 Revivalhas been officially revealed.Revivalwill recreate the 2008 title, upgrading its visuals for a modern audience and bringing the classic game to fans new and old.

A first look at the upcomingPersona 4 Revivalwas revealedduring theXbox Games Showcase, showing some of what fans have to look forward to when the game arrives. No release window has been announced yet, but the game is now available to wishlist and will launch on Xbox Series X|S as well as on Xbox PC and the Xbox Cloud service.

The Trailer Shows Off Modern Graphics

Persona 4 Revivalwasaccidentally revealed last monthwhen severalPersona 4voice actors noted they wouldn’t reprise their roles from the original game. Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced Yosuke in the originalP4, wrote in a Bluesky post that he “will not be returning as Yosuke for the Persona 4 remake.” This message hinted at the arrival ofRevival,officially confirmed for the first time today.

The brief trailer showsseveral scenes featuring the tell-tale cel-shaded anime style of thePersonafranchise, including a field, a Japanese shrine, and a classroom. The video then cuts to a dark and ominous tower of old TVs showing a menacing red spiral, before shifting back to Yu Narukami running through a Japanese street with rolling hills. Likelast year’s remakePersona 3 Reload,Revivalwill recreatePersona 4but probably include elements from the most recent title in the franchise,Persona 5.
