PopularTwitchstreamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa got some good news Saturday when the platform lifted a ban of ads on her channel. However,Amouranth - who is best knownfor her “just chatting” streams - appears to still be getting punished by Twitch.

This began when Twitch decided it didn’t want to rewards streamers for doing “hot tub” streams. Amouranth, who is one of the originators of those particular kinds of streams, had herchannel demonetized by Twitchearlier this week. When the ban was announced, the content creator was afraid it might be a permanent move. She announced she’d be talking to Twitch about getting her ad revenue back, but didn’t express a great deal of optimism it would happen anytime soon.

Those numbers mean that if the pattern were to continue for an entire year, she’d be losing about $440,000 a year in ad revenue based on comments the streamer made earlier in the week sayingcomplete demonetization of her Twitch channelwas going to cost her about $500,000 a year. While Amouranth largely stayed away from the topic for the rest of her Saturday stream, other content creators on the platform have voiced their support for the “just chatting” star.

Several streamers, including Destiny and Asmongold, have gone so far as to say that taking away one of Amouranth’s biggest revenue sources could be a breach of contract byTwitch. Some have said the problem is being made worse because Twitch is taking action without giving much explanation as to how or why it’s doling out punishment.

There are some who wonder if the introduction of theTwitchcategory “pools, hot tubs and beaches” might be a sign restrictions like those placed on Amouranth will be lifted soon. For now, the content creator doesn’t seem to know if or when she will get her full ad revenue back.
