Originally released late last year,Amnesia: Rebirthis the third installment in the horror sensation created by Frictional Games and has been terrifying players since. However, for those who want to play the game but don’t want the scares, anAdventure Mode was released for the PC version of the game. Now it looks as though the scare-free story mode is now available on the PlayStation version.
Essentially, the Adventure Mode ofAmnesia: Rebirthtakes the threat of the main game and removes it entirely. Not only does it get rid of any monsters in the game, but it also removes the audio and visual effects that come bundled with the game’s fear levels that keep the game on edge. While there isn’t a native PS5 version, those who have bought it on PS4 can play it on the latest console. However, there is in update for this version which boosts the game to 60fps.

This mode is similar to theSafe Mode in Frictional Games' 2017 sci-fi horrorSOMA. On top of all this,Rebirth’s Adventure Mode will also light up the latter parts of the game. Frictional themselves have said this way, players won’t have the same feelings of “claustrophobia and trepidation” which means fans can explore the game without the dread of wondering what’s in front of them or what awaits around the corner.
Amnesia: Rebirthcontinues the themes of survival horror in which players must run and hide instead of fighting, and must solve physics-based puzzles to progress. The game wasreleased to largely favorable praisewith reviewers taking note of both the scares and the story elements.
