TheStar Warsactor has three screen credits as Tom Curry, the human father of the superpowered Arthur Curry, King of Atlantis:Aquaman(2018),The Flash(2023), andAquaman and the Lost Kingdom(2023).

While the latter two received mixed reviews and saw underwhelming runs at the box office, the originalAquamanfilm was a global hit, grossing over $1 billion worldwide. Jason Momoa as Kaʻiana in Chief of War

Temuera Morrison excelled in his supporting role, with his character providing Arthur Curry with a sense of humility. While Momoa’s Aquaman struggled to find his place in the world as an Atlantean raised on land, Tom Curry helped him maintain the core values that made him a hero, much like Alfred or Ma and Pa Kent.

In an era where there are several superhero movies released each year, it’s no surprise that Temuera Morrison rarely receives his due credit as a supporting character. He didn’t do anything particularly special in the role, but he was an instrumental part of a massive movie, and that can’t go understated.
