Anyone interested in the online services for any of these games is running out of time to take advantage of them, so they should act fast. Some of theseEA games have been delisted, though, which will mean fans will have to track down a hard copy if they want to play them online before the shutdowns.
EA Games Shutting Down Soon
These are all notable, high profile games from EA, and so their online services being shut down will no doubt be sad for some fans. However, the truth is that these games aren’t really being played online anymore. The good news is that the offline functionality for the games will remain available, so the games won’t become completely obsolete. TheBattlefield: Bad Companygames have particularly good campaigns, and so fans will still be able to enjoy the games to some extent even after the shutdowns.
It’s possible the online multiplayer experiences from these games will be revived in some capacity down the line. For example, EA could potentially produce aDead Space 2remaketo follow up on the acclaimedDead Spaceremake it released earlier this year. Nothing to that effect has actually been announced, but it’s entirely possible that such a project would remake the multiplayer component from the original game as well. Fans shouldn’t hold their breath, though, and anyone interested in playing these games online is unfortunately running out of time.
