Resident Evilwas a very tough franchise, starting with the original 1996 game. The original Western release was made significantly more difficult than its Japanese counterpart, and the game was infamous as a challenging title back then. However, as time went on, the series became easier. There are still manybrutalResident Evilgames to 100% complete, but throughout the years, there have been plenty of easy games as well.
They can be easy for many factors, such as overpowered unlockables, console exploits, or simply having a short achievement list. 100% completion has two meanings here. For games with an achievement/trophy list on Xbox or PlayStation, 100% completion means getting all of them. Thisincludes DLC achievements/trophies. For retro titles, 100% completion will mean unlocking everything in the game. You just need to acquire all the unlockables and extras, not accomplish everything.
10Resident Evil: Deadly Silence Has An Easy Mode
A Master Of Unlocking And Knifing
Resident Evil: Deadly Silenceis the Nintendo DS port of the original 1996RE1. It has so many great features and quality-of-life improvements, but it’s pretty easy in terms of 100% completion. To unlock everything, first, you must complete both Chris’s story and Jill’s with the best ending in both Classic and Rebirth modes. This might sound hard, but with a push-button code, you can play in Training difficulty, which makes the game significantly easier.
Frankly, the hardest part will be the valve section in the Greenhouse. If your DS’s screen isn’t in the best shape, turning that valve all the way can be a Herculean task. Beating the game in under three hours also unlocks the infinite Rocket Launcher, which is incredibly easy if you’re familiar withRE1. The last thing to do is beat the Master of Knifing minigame with a B rank to unlock Wesker in multiplayer mode. This can be difficult at first, but it shouldn’t be too much of a problem once you get the hang of it.
9Resident Evil Survivor Is Short & Simple
Only One Unlockable?
It’s often considered the worstResident Evilgame of all time, but helpfully,Survivorproves to be the shortestREand the second-easiest game in the series. While there are multiple paths to take for replay value, there’s only one unlockable:the staple infinite ammo Rocket Launcher.
Once you’re familiar withResident Evil Survivor, getting an S rank is a cakewalk.
To unlock the weapon, you must get an S rank, which requires you to beat the game in under one and a half hours, don’t die, don’t use First Aid Sprays, have good accuracy, and play on Normal mode. Once you’re familiar withResident Evil Survivor, getting an S rank is a cakewalk. you’re able to easily get by most enemies if you know what you’re doing. Even the accuracy requirement shouldn’t be too bad on a controllersince there’s an auto-aim button. Once you’ve gotten your S rank, that’s all thatResident Evil Survivorhas to offer.
8Resident Evil Gaiden Just Needs A Knife
No Unlockables?
Another poorly receivedResident Evil,Gaiden, has to be the easiest game in the series. The reason for this is simple:there are no unlockables at all. to 100% completeResident Evil Gaiden, all you have to do is beat the game.Gaidenitself can be tricky, but that’s only if you don’t play it right.
You have to use the knife in this game to save ammofor the tough boss fights later on. If you use guns regularly, you will be starved of ammo for most of the game. The boss fights can be real bullet sponges, even more so than the mainlineResident Eviltitles. As long as you save up your ammo, you should be fine beatingResident Evil Gaiden.
7Resident Evil 2 Remake Is Easier With DLC
The DLC Makes All The Difference
One important fact to note is that you can 100% complete these games by any official means, and that comes into play regardingResident Evil 2 Remake. Probablythe bestResident Evilremake,RE2proved to be a very challenging title when it was initially released, but eventually, a DLC made things a lot easier. That would be theAll In-game Rewards Unlock DLC released for $5. This gives access to the infinite ammo weapons, including the iconic Rocket Launcher.
The infinite ammo Rocket Launcher makes all the story-related achievements easy. The challenging difficulty comes back in the extra game modes. You’ll still need to beat The 4th Survivor, where you play as Hunk, one of themost underratedResident Evilcharacters. That will take a lot of tries to beat, and there’s also theGhost SurvivorsDLC. This isn’t as bad as it seems, asyou can beat the first three scenarios in training modeand just have to worry about clearing the final one legitimately. Overall,RE2 Remakeis still a pretty easy completion.
6Resident Evil 3 Classic Is A Matter Of Patience
More Time-Consuming Than Challenging
Resident Evil 3 Classicis a fascinating game when it comes to 100% completion. There’s a ton of unlockables and extras, but you can get them simply by playing the game over and over again. While getting an A rank instantly unlocks all five outfits, it isn’t required, and you unlock more outfits anyway as you continue to beat the game on one save file.RE3 Classicintroduces epilogues, a collection of notes highlighting what the importantResident Evilcharacters are doing afterRE3, and getting them allrequires eight playthroughs.
RE3 Classicalso introduced The Mercenaries. This mode is where you can get your infinite ammo weapons, and once again, you don’t necessarily need to beat the mode to gain enough points. Even a playthrough that only goes two-thirds through gets a decent chunk of points, so you can play the mode again and again until you unlock everything.RE3 Classicis a time-consuming 100%, but it’s a very easy one.
5Resident Evil 3 Remake Is A Breeze
Easy In Every Way
Resident Evil 3 Remakedidn’t live upto its potential, but one thing in common with the original is the easy difficulty. LikeResident Evil 2 Remake, there’s an all-unlock DLC pack, but gettingthe infinite ammo weapons is so easy this timethat you shouldn’t bother purchasing it. All you have to do to unlock the infinite ammo Rocket Launcher is get enough points by completing challenges. Most of these are pretty easy, and you should absolutely save up points to buy the unlimited Rocket Launcher early on.
This weapon makes all the remaining challenges and achievements a breeze. There are no extra game modes inResident Evil 3 Remake. However, two bonus difficulty modes make the game significantly harder— that is,if you don’t use the Rocket Launcher. Killing everything in one shot removes most of the challenge in Nightmare and Inferno modes.Resident Evil 3 Remakecurrently has aTrueAchievementsscore of 1,864, which is very low, highlighting its easy difficulty.
4Resident Evil 4 Classic Has Few Demands
A Very Tiny Achievement List
Back in 2011,Resident Evil 4 Classicgot its first achievement/trophy list. This small and easy 12-achievement list continued into all future versions. It’s shocking how easy 100% completion is,not even requiring you to play Assignment Ada or The Mercenaries. 10 of the 12 achievements can be gained from your first playthrough, and after that, there are only two steps left.
If you’re having trouble with enemy encounters, you’re able to speedrun to the exit.
You must beat Separate Ways to unlock costume two, which will net you The S Stands for Stylish achievement/trophy. Then, you must beat Professional mode, which can be rough for a newcomer, but forRE4veterans, it shouldn’t pose any issue. Make sure to pick theSpecial 2 outfit for the Ashley Knight Armor costume, which helps a lot. If you’re having trouble with enemy encounters, you can speedrun to the exit. That’s what I did near the end of the campaign, as I saved up many healing items.
3Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D Can Be Tricked
Shake That 3DS
Out of all the easyResident Evilgames,Mercenaries 3Dhas to be the most interesting. It’s a pretty challenging game, all things considered, but there’sa wild, unbelievable exploit. InMercenaries 3D, you can unlock various character loadouts so that you can use them on everybody, not just one. You can unlock these traditionally or spend Nintendo 3DS Play Coins.
Play Coins are gained when the 3DS is in sleep mode, and you’re supposed to walk around with the system, and it’ll count your steps. However, you canshake the 3DS like a Magic 8 Ball, and you’ll get your coins. Spend 15 of them to unlock the Extra loadout, which is ridiculously overpowered. You get a Red9, a two-directional grenade launcher, and tons of ammo. This makes getting all the costumes and in-game achievements significantly easier, and all you have to do is shake your console.
2Resident Evil Village Is All About Mercenaries Mode
Infinite Ammo Weapons Save The Day, Once Again
LikeResident Evil 5,Resident Evil Villagehas a mechanic where you may buy infinite ammo for a gun if you fully upgrade that weapon. UnlikeResident Evil 5, though,Villageuses multiple save files. You can burn all your money and sell most of your guns just to fully upgrade one weapon. At that point, infinite ammo is unlocked in the shop, andyou can reload a prior save to keep all that money. This strategy is great for unlocking those infinite ammo magnums, leading to all the campaign achievements being much easier.
Even the Village of Shadows mode isn’t too bad with the powerful unlimited ammo guns. That said, you have toplay Mercenaries mode for all the achievements. You must S rank all stages and complete the Bloody Village and Bloody River. This takes quite a while. UnlikeRE2andRE3 Remake, you cannot buy the other Mercenaries characters via DLC, so you’ll have to do it legit.
1Resident Evil Re:Verse Requires Teamwork
The Easiest Multiplayer Resident Evil Game
It’s unfortunate thatResident Evil Re:Verseis shutting downon Jun 22, 2025, as this game’s avery easy 1000 Gamerscore or PlayStation 100%. LikeResident Evil 4 Classic, the achievement list is incredibly small, with 12 total. Once again, only two proved to be an issue. The first one is Raccoon City Survival Squad, which forces you to get 1st place with every character in the base game. That means Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire, Ada, and Hunk.
Doing this legitimately can take many tries, but it shouldn’t be an issue in a boosting session with other achievement/trophy hunters. It’ll just take a few hours because everyone needs to get all their character wins. Then, you must reach level 11 in the Battle Pass. you may do this naturally by completing missions, or even faster when boosting. Using boosting sessions is key to completing this game extremely fast, making it the easiest modernResident Evilgame.
