Those are some of my favourite words! It’s no secret that I’ve been loving the adventure games that havebeen finding life via KickstarterandLast Lifeis no different. Described by developer Sam Farmer, this is an episodic “sci-fi noir adventure game in which you investigate your own murder”… on Mars! Taking cues fromKentucky Route ZeroandThe Walking Deadbefore it,Last Lifeis planned to be spread over three episodes. Whilst I do like the episodic games, I do wish some of them didn’t have such a big gap between releases....

Love Island USAseason 7’s first eliminated Islander Belle-A Walker wasn’t able to make a long-term connection in the villa, butshe’s spilling everything about Nic Vansteenberghe’s red flags after he chose Cierra Ortega over her. During EA’s Summer Showcase live stream, EA has shown off some new features for the Wii U versions ofMadden 13andFifa 13, typically focused on the GamePad’s touchscreen. InMadden, play calling is done directly on the touchscreen, which isn’t that much of a significant improvement over selecting plays from the main screen. However, you may also use the touchscreen for pre-play adjustments. InFifa, there are a ton of enhancements that takes advantage of the Wii U’s capabilities....

If you’ve spent any time in the comments section of Destructoid, you’ve seen people get accused of being biased all the time, both editors and other commenters. Usually it’s just because someone has an opinion that another person disagrees with, but if you actually think about it we all DO have a few irrational biases relating to games. At the moment,Dragon Ballfans seem to have their attention focused squarely onthe upcoming action-RPGDragon Ball Z: Kakarot, which adapts and fleshes out the first few arcs of theDBZanime. So much so that it feels like it’s easy to forget that there’s another popularDBZtitle that is still being played and still has new content on the horizon -Dragon Ball FighterZ, last year’s smash-hit fighting game from Arc System Works. The game has a couple more DLC characters yet to be released and it looks like one of them has been leaked early....

Here’s a look Lead designer Sean Murray notes that althoughNo Man’s Skydoesn’t necessarily have a real story mode, the game does have “little touches” that explain why the universe came into being, and what inhabits it. I’m sure it’ll all be very subtle, but the video below does a decent job of explaining the influences that came into play for the game without giving away too much. Shinichiro Watanabe’s latest jazz-themed apocalyptic anime,Lazarus, is thriving in the anime space; it is a reminder of the director’s unquestionable success established by the iconicCowboy Bebopand the zanySpace Dandy.Lazaruselevates the ominous tone of the story through on-brand themes that pay tribute to Shinichiro Watanabe’s legacy. Recently, the Television Academy announced Lazarus’s nomination for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music at the 2025 Emmy Awards. This groundbreaking success sets the anime industry on a higher creative pedestal by paying homage to one of anime’s famed directors behind thesuccess of the Adult Swim show....

Earlier, it was reported that aStarCraftFPS and an unannounced mobile game were canceledso that Blizzard could focus its resources on other projects. One of these projects is apparentlyOverwatch 2, which Blizzard is planning to officially announce at Blizzcon 2019, scheduled to take place from November 1 to November 3. Details onOverwatch 2are scarce at this point, but Kotaku’s Jason Schreier has provided at least a little information on the game. In the same report where he revealed the canceledStarCraftFPS, Schreier said thatOverwatch 2will have a “large PvE element,” which is a stark contrast to the original game that rarely features PvE modes....

It turns out that part of xQc’s mind-boggling $70 million deal with Twitch rivalKickmay in fact include equity in the company. An increasing number of Twitch’s most popular content creators have been jumping to the new streaming platform, and evenAmouranth recently announced her move to Kick, which is particularly notable because she was the most-watched female streamer on Twitch in 2022.Amouranth’s announcement came shortly after it was revealed thatxQc had penned a massive $70 million contract with Kick, which could balloon to $100 million thanks to unspecified incentives....

Grey’s Anatomyguest star Piper Perabo has discussed her character Jenna’s season 22 fate, after season 21’s explosive finale. Perabo received acclaim for her performance as anguished mother Jenna, who was desperately seeking risky surgery for her sick daughter, Dylan, and threatened the OR with a gas tank and a flint striker when doctors were not doing enough. The surgery was successful, but while Jenna claimed that the tank was empty, it was apparently not....

There are a lot of MMORPGs on the market these days and each new series that pops up strives to make the experience more immersive for players. The next logical step is taking the genre into virtual reality with the VRMMORPG, and the upcoming title by Ramen VR,Zenith,hopes to be a pioneer in that field. Today it was announced that this ambitious project will be coming to PlayStation VR. By all accounts, MMOs and VR should be a perfect pairing, but it’s a combo that is still in its infancy....
